Electrical Project Manager

The primary responsibility of this position is the successful supervision and management of construction activities, in the safest manner possible.  This position may require occasional travel or relocation.  Pay commensurate with experience.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The overall successful management of assigned projects including budgets, schedules, resource and workforce allocation, communication and client satisfaction
  • Direct supervision of all project assigned supervisory and other management office/staff
  • Provide appropriate guidance and input into the development and updating of all project schedules, job cost and other management reports
  • Review and approve all key job site construction methods and practices

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Four year electrical engineering degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years project management experience
  • Experience in Heavy Highway and Steel Industries is a must
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels and utilize innovative and effective leadership techniques to maximize employee and project performance are prerequisites

Project Manager / Estimator

Must be able to support an account base of Heavy Industrial and Steel markets.  Pay commensurate with experience.

 

Purchasing Agent

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for the purchase of electrical equipment, tools, construction materials, and handling day to day entry.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Receive verbal and written requisitions for materials, tools and equipment from project managers and field operations.
  • Review and source materials, tools and equipment in accordance with established company guidelines and procedures.
  • Solicit quotations from vendors. Review, analyze and present findings to managemen with emphasis on best economic value and defined company procurement objectives.
  • Obtains confirmations, verifies pricing and quantities, follows up with vendors to correct issues or re-request confirmations, attaches confirmations to POs, and manages confirmations record.
  • Generate and distribute purchase orders through computerized purchasing system in accordance with established company procedures.
  • Responsible for the tracking and expediting of all existing orders. Update and maintain scheduling in purchasing system.
  • Support estimating department by contacting vendors for budgetary quotations for materials and equipment in the preparation of bids.
  • Handles some Systems buys (Gear, Fixtures, etc.) purchasing under the general direction of the Purchasing leader.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
  • Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies and accounting.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
  • 3+ years minimum experience in a fast-paced business environment and have electrical construction purchasing experience and product knowledge.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
