With more than 40 years of engineering and construction experience, Steve brings a strong balance of varied work history including operations, business development and project management. As Chairman, Steve is responsible for client relations and opportunity development, as well as strategic planning for the Company.

Gary W. Groom

Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer, Gary oversees developmental activities and targeted expansion to ensure that Sargent Electric Company remains focused on strategy and expansion. He has more than 35 years of finance and management experience in the manufacturing, engineering and construction industries.

Rob Smith

Rob has 35 years of experience in the engineering, construction, and maintenance business, delivering capital projects across the oil and gas, power, industrial, mining & metals, and infrastructure markets.  He is responsible for our corporate operations, our strategic growth, and our business development and client relationships.

Elizabeth A. Lawrence, CPA

Chief Financial Officer
With more than 10 years of experience at Sargent Electric Company, Beth oversees all financial and accounting functions. She is responsible for internal budgeting and accounting, financial reporting, banking and insurance relationships, as well as employee retirement and benefit plans. Beth also assists in the strategic direction of the Company.

Greg has more than 25 years of experience providing leadership in domestic and international companies, business and operational planning and problem solving. In this role, Greg utilizes proven cost and schedule performance measurement strategies, controlling combined project revenues in excess of $200 million per year across multiple industries.

President / CEO - Sargent Safety Services, LLC
Greg brings more than 40 years of experience in the electrical contracting industry, including over two decades of dedicated safety and loss control management. In this role, Greg develops many innovative safety and risk management programs. Greg and his team collectively hold over 120 years of experience and work hard to consistently exceed standard regulatory requirements.

Dennis W. Hathaway

Division Manager - Northwest Indiana
With more than 20 years of project & field management experience at Sargent Electric Company, Dennis brings a wealth of knowledge that is critical to his new role. As Division Manager, he will ensure client satisfaction by overseeing all construction activities, develop strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and vendors, and contribute to the overall success of the Company.

George S. Reynolds

Division Manager - Pittsburgh
George joined Sargent Electric Company in January 2014, bringing with him more than 40 years of experience in management and operations. In this position, George manages the Pittsburgh Division including purchasing, business development, project management and estimating personnel. George is also responsible for developing educational programs and setting operational goals.

Since joining Sargent Electric Company nearly three decades ago, Chuck has proven that he is a dynamic team player by progressing through positions including field engineer, estimator, and project manager. In his current role, Chuck ensures total client satisfaction by managing all projects within this territory. He is also committed to maintaining a safe workplace both in the office and in the field.
