Sargent Electric was tasked with upgrading an existing 34Kv line to 69Kv in a muti-phase project due to outage constraints. The work scope included removal of the existing 34Kv line and poles and constructing a new 69Kv line by way of performing soft dig methods, drilling, new foundations, structure installations, line, and hardware. The work was performed adjacent to a solar farm dead ending in an existing substation. One of our main challenges was to perform the work in an environmentally sensitive area between multiple properties (both utility and private). Our team rose to the occasion and performed the work without injury and on time.
